Datacom appoints Director to head NSW outsourcing business
Sydney, Australia – Tuesday 5th June 2007
Datacom Australia has appointed Mark McWilliams as a Director of Datacom Systems NSW.
In this position, Mr McWilliams will assume responsibility for managing Datacom’s NSW
outsourcing and professional IT services business, including its St Leonards datacentre
and a team of 100 staff.
With more than 20 years technology industry experience, Mr McWilliams transfers to
his new role from Datacom New Zealand, where he spent seven years leading the company’s
major systems management business units.
During this time, Mr McWilliams played an instrumental role in renegotiating Datacom’s
$150 million contract with New Zealand Post as well as winning and retaining high profile
clients including New Zealand Customs and Kiwibank.
Mr McWilliams was also responsible for driving operational improvements through the adoption
of ITIL. Furthermore, he delivered a multi-million dollar initiative to enhance the company’s
Enterprise Systems Management tool set – a process which is now being progressively implemented
amongst Datacom’s New Zealand outsourcing client base.
Prior to joining Datacom in 2000, Mr McWilliams spent 10 years with Wang New Zealand, now part of Gen-i.

Outside work, Mr McWilliams enjoys sailing his yacht and spending time with his wife and two children.
He will report directly to Datacom Australia’s CEO Michael Browne and is based at the
company’s North Ryde headquarters.
