Data Centres
Datacom operates enterprise standard telco and vendor neutral
data centres across Australia and New Zealand.
Customers are offered a range of space options including shared racks, private racks, and dedicated caged areas. Generally speaking there is no restriction on the type of equipment that can be accommodated.
Service options start at the basic co-location level where the customer maintains full responsibility for their equipment and Datacom manages everything outside the rack, or part thereof, on a 24x7 basis including:
• The facility - which includes all maintenance and administration processes,
• All redundant power, cooling, and fire protection systems,
• Space allocation and seismic bracing,
• All cabling, both power and data, external to racks,
• Physical security and access control,
• Media handling and other logistics.
Remote hands and eyes are available 24x7 to respond to customer requirements.
Datacom also offers a full range of
IT Management Services if this is required.
Some data centres have customer DR facilities including workstations.
All data centres offer
Datacom Cloud Services - a range of virtualised and on-demand processing, storage, network, and other value added software and infrastructure options. Co-location customers find the ability to conveniently mix and match their own infrastructure with Datacom Cloud Services without network overheads a particularly attractive option.
