New Manila facility opened to serve existing technology client.
MANILA and SYDNEY, May 27th 2009: Datacom Connect today announced that it has opened a new contact centre in the Philippines capital, Manila. The new 100+ seat facility will be used to serve an existing client for whom Datacom provides technical support contact centre services and was developed in response to the client’s request for Datacom to increase its regional capacity.
Datacom has hired 40 new staff to work in the contact centre which, by expanding Datacom’s operations, also gives the company further opportunity to win new clients across the region.
“The Philippines is an internationally-renowned source of expertise for the contact centre industry and as such a natural place for Datacom Connect to commence operations,” said Kirsty Hunter, Managing Director of Datacom Connect. “We are very happy to have a presence here, as the excellent English language skills of the local population, convenient time zone and strong government support for the contact centre industry all mean we can serve our existing clients more effectively, while also offering a more diversified service to prospective clients.”
“We feel the new centre will complement our other facilities around the region, meet a need from our existing customer base and give us the opportunity to work with new customers in the region.”
The new facility commenced operations in May 2009 and is working towards achieving Customer Operations Performance Centre certifications.
“This is a major step forward for our business as we can now offer a broader series of service solutions best able to meet the needs of our clients and prospective customers,” Hunter says. It’s a substantial step towards enhancing our competitive positioning as we continue our drive to become our clients’ Regional Partner of Choice.”
